Syd Barrett: messa all’asta la sua chitarra acustica

La chitarra Yamaha di Roger “Syd” Barrett, uno dei fondatori dei Pink Floyd, andrà all’asta alla Cheffins Art & Design Sale giovedì 28 ottobre.
La chitarra acustica a dodici corde che era appartenuta al musicista, scomparso nel 2006, viene venduta da suo nipote, con tutti i proventi suddivisi equamente tra l’organizzazione di beneficenza MIND e l’Arthur Rank Hospice.
La chitarra, che ha una stima di 5.000 £ – 10.000, è stata menzionata da Syd Barrett in una sua intervista nel 1971.
Inoltre, la vendita includerà quella che si ritiene sia l’ultima opera d’arte creata da Roger Barrett, un disegno ad acquerello e matita, intitolato “Natura morta con limoni e bottiglie verdi”.
L’immagine ha una stima di 4.000 £ – 6.000 ed è stata consegnata da un collezionista privato.
